We're Hiring . . . Root Makers
Hearts and Minds is expanding our team to open up opportunities for diverse voices to be heard and to embed our commitment to equitable, inclusive support at the heart of our workstreams.
We are recruiting five ‘Root Makers’ to work alongside us to bring greater accountability and depth to our focus on EDI, in a way that is in keeping with the collaborative spirit of the VCSE community.
These are new roles within the team, thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund enabling us to listen, learn and help shape perinatal mental health VCSE services to meet the diverse needs of local communities.
These are flexible roles, paid on a freelance basis, designed to work around commitments. We particularly welcome interest from people from under-represented communities, who can offer rich insight from the perspective of lived experience, ideally with first-hand experience of working in the VCSE sector.
Got questions? You can read the full role description here.
It’s our intention that Root Makers will work with us across the scope of our programme up until Summer 2026. However, the initial ask is that we work together on the scoping phase, which is expected to last until the end of Summer 2024.
If this something you’re passionate about and you feel the Root Maker role might be a good fit for you, we’d love to hear from you!
First of all, you can find out lots more by reading the Root Maker Role Description. After that, we'd encourage you to fill out the Expression of Interest form here.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm on Friday 24th May. In the following weeks we will be contacting shortlisted applicants to arrange next steps.
Any questions, do drop us a line at hello@heartsandmindspartnership.org - we can't wait to hear from you!
